If you've been by the store lately, you've probably seen our newly refurbished pylon sign. It's not quite done, but it's close, and so far, we love it. That "LIQUOR" arrow and the poles are the same ones that have been there forever, but repainted. The "Rebsamen" part is our addition. It's a perfect mix of old and new that echoes the refreshed vintage feel we are going for with the store itself. That goes for decor, but also products and service. For example, we've got some new microbrews, but also one of the best port collections in town. We've got Ben, but also Tommy and Dennis. Keep what works, but keep it fresh. That's what we're going for, and we're thrilled that this sign communicates some of that spirit.

![]() After last week's delusional attempt to ban California wines in Arkansas -- which actually passed the state House -- it's over. The measure has been withdrawn and the Senate won't vote on it. California wines will continue to be available in Arkansas for the foreseeable future. The bill's sponsor, Dan Douglas, said full passage of the bill was unnecessary because the House vote sent a "message." If the message is that the Arkansas legislature will recklessly threaten its own wine-loving citizens and local businesses like Rebsamen Liquor in the interest of interstate saber-rattling... then yes, mission accomplished. |
